Any Questions? the popular BBC Radio 4 programme was first broadcast in October 1948.
As part of the school’s on going Centenary celebrations we are delighted to host a live broadcast of the programme from the school hall on Friday 4 May. Doors open at 6.30pm. The event starts with a BBC warm up at 7.30pm before the live broadcast at 8.02 pm. Everybody over the age of 14 is welcome. Admission is free of charge but you must have a ticket to gain entry and be part of the audience
Every week the programme visits a different part of the country with a panel of four speakers who answer questions from the audience. The programme provides the opportunity for people to challenge politicians, policy makers, writers and thinkers.
If you have a question you would like to put to the panel (yet to be announced) please remember you must be prepared to ask the question yourself live on air. Follow these instructions and bring your question with you on the night and place it in the Any Questions? box on arrival.
The producers need questions from you to make the best programme, so please put in one or more. About the questions:
What’s been in the news this week or what’s happened today?
Questions chosen regularly touch on political, economic, social and moral issues of the day.
As a nationwide broadcast, national or international issues are most likely to be chosen.
Please keep your questions short.
Our Centenary celebrations are partly about welcoming the community into our school. This is a perfect opportunity to invite your family, friends and neighbours to an event held at the heart of the school. Get them to ask a question! The programme has all-age appeal and is free of charge. (subject to minimum age of 14 yrs - BBC policy)
